The Cuba is located at Caserma Militare-Corso Calatafimi 100, and is open from Mondays to Saturdays from 9.00 am to 7.00 pm.

It takes about an hour and a half along the E90 motorway to reach the ancient town of Salemi. Much of the historic center dates back to Arabic and Norman times, with narrow winding streets that hold surprises at every corner. Boasting its own impressive hilltop castle that overlooks the Belici valley, Salemi won in importance when Giuseppe Garibaldi landed at the Marsala coast in 1860 and took possession of the area, naming Salemi as his capital. The Norman castle dates back to 1077, but the town is much, much older than that. It was already ancient when the Romans arrived.

Particularly noteworthy are the Chiesa Madre San Nicola with its lovely frescoes, the Islamic quarter of Rabato, and the Museum of the Mafia in Via Francesco D'Aguirre, which displays photographs and items from infamous Mafia member across 10 rooms. Other museums include the Museum of Sacred Art, the Museum of the Risorgimento and the Archaeological Museum.
